North Korea now capable of bombing NEW YORK and BOSTON, warns scientist
NEW YORK is now within the range of a North Korea missile attack, a scientist has revealed.
North Korea is now capable of bombing New York
Other major American cities including Boston are also in danger from despot Kim Jong-un’s missile programme.
The terrifying warning was issued by the Union of Concerned Scientists earlier this week.
David Wright of the group’s global security programme said Kim’s most recent missile test sent a very real warning to the West.
The Hwasong-14 missile was fired hundreds of miles from North Korea before crashing into the sea near a Japanese island.
Looks like it pretty much can get to New York, Boston and probably falls just short of Washington
The success of the missile test has set alarm bells ringing from Washington to Seoul, with experts now concerned Kim could strike the US mainland.
Mr Wright explained to MSNBC: “Looks like it pretty much can get to New York, Boston and probably falls just short of Washington.
“If those numbers are correct, the missile flown on a standard projectory, the missile would have a range of 10,400 km, not taking into account the Earth’s rotation.
“However, the rotation of the Earth increases the range of missiles fired eastward, depending on their direction.
“It is important to keep in mind that we do not know the mass of the payload the missile carried on this test.”
The revelation came as North Korea issued a verbal attack on America, telling its Washington enemies they were “doomed to ruin”.
Kim Jong-un said he would reduce America to ‘ruins’
A Pyongyang-based propaganda newspaper sent a direct threat to despot Kim Jong-un’s biggest enemies, describing the US as “imperialists” and South Korea as “puppet warmongers”.
The fiery opinion piece threatened America with devastation and accused South Korea of going “mad” by teaming up with Washington.
It also said if the two states continued threatening North Korea and imposing sanctions they would meet “shameful ruin”.
